Secure Code Skill Pack — License Agreement

This is the canonical license that applies to the Secure Code Skill Pack upon purchase. The most recent published version is also available at https://www.exposuresecurity.com/legal/secure-code-license/, where prior versions are archived for reference.

By purchasing and using the Secure Code Skill Pack ("the Product"), you agree to the following terms.

1. License Grant

Exposure Security grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to:

• Use the Product within your organization across unlimited projects, repositories, and development environments.
• Modify the Product for your organization's internal use.
• Share the Product with members of your immediate team or organization who are working on projects where the Product is in use.

"Organization" means the single legal entity (company, team, or individual) that purchased the Product.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

• Redistribute the Product, in whole or in part, to anyone outside your organization.
• Resell, sublicense, or offer the Product (or derivative works) as a standalone product or as part of a competing product.
• Publish the Product or substantial portions of it in any public repository, blog post, or open-source project.
• Claim authorship of the Product or remove copyright notices.

Incorporating the Product's rules into your organization's internal coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, or developer tooling is permitted and encouraged.

3. Ownership

The Product is the intellectual property of Exposure Security. This license grants usage rights only — it does not transfer ownership.

4. Updates

You will receive the version of the Product available at the time of purchase. Updates may be provided at Exposure Security's discretion. We are under no obligation to provide updates, but when we do, they will be delivered to the email address associated with your purchase.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Exposure Security does not warrant that:

• The Product will prevent all security vulnerabilities in your code.
• The Product will be compatible with all tools, frameworks, or environments.
• The Product is free from errors or omissions.
• Use of the Product will satisfy any specific security standard, compliance requirement, or certification.

The Product is a development aid, not a security guarantee. It improves the security posture of AI-generated code but does not replace professional security assessment, penetration testing, code review, or security engineering.

Benchmark results published by Exposure Security reflect performance under specific test conditions documented at the time of measurement and may not be representative of results in your environment.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Exposure Security's total liability arising from or related to the Product shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product.
• In no event shall Exposure Security be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
  • Security breaches, data loss, or unauthorized access.
  • Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities.
  • Costs of substitute products or services.
  • Damages arising from reliance on the Product.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if Exposure Security has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Exposure Security from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Product, including claims by third parties related to the security of code produced using the Product.

8. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.

9. Changes to Terms

Exposure Security may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Product after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated to the email address associated with your purchase.
